Grade 8s to get a sneak peak of high school on January 28, 2010
Grade 8 students are looking forward to visiting secondary schools later this week. The annual Grade 8 Orientation Day is scheduled for Thursday, January 28, 2010 with the following day planned as the ‘snow date.’
Some of the activities include:
- Sessions with teachers in different subject areas to introduce Grade 8 students to the different program/subject choices
- School and facility tours
- Fashion shows of dress code
- Music performances
- Scavenger hunts
- Interaction between boys and girls from feeder schools
All agree that orientation is fun and worthwhile for the younger students while also being a way for the high school students to demonstrate school spirit, caring, cooperation and respect for their guests.
