Getting into the Olympic spirit at Prince Charles PS (Trenton)

Students and staff at Prince Charles Public School in Trenton are showing their national pride by getting into the Olympic spirit through a variety of literacy, healthy active living and character education/spirit building activities as the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics approach. Numerous school based events will be held throughout the week of February 16 to 19, 2010.

On Thursday, February 18 in the evening, a school-wide Olympic themed event is planned, involving literacy and healthy active living activities. Students and parents/guardians are invited to the school from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. to participate in 10 custom developed Olympic learning stations.

Special guests include:

  • Jack Miller, MIX-97 radio broadcaster and Olympic torch relay participant
  • Bevin Stephenson, parent and Olympic torch relay participant
  • Members of the Trenton Golden Hawks team
  • Personal trainers from the Family Fitness Centre

Families that attend can put their name in a draw to win sports and literacy related door prizes.
