Flags flown at half mast in memory of Lincoln Alexander

Flags at all schools and at the Education Centre will be flown at half mast in memory of Lincoln Alexander, the 24th Lieutenant Governor of Ontario.

Lincoln Alexander became Canada’s first black Member of Parliament in 1968 and served as Ontario’s lieutenant-governor from 1985 to 1991. Alexander was also a former federal labour minister. He died in Hamilton on Friday, October 19, 2012 at the age of 90.
