Over the past few months, EQAO has visited a number of secondary schools to learn about their successful practices, so that they can be shared with schools across the province. Engaging with the education community in this manner has allowed EQAO to learn about strategies being used to support student achievement in literacy.
The profiled schools represent dedicated school communities. Centennial SS is is notable for staff use of EQAO data to identify trends and make decisions about where improvements are needed. The school has adopted an action plan based on its particular circumstances, is committed to student success and all staff work hard to ensure that students have the supports they need to achieve success.
