2nd Annual Student Benefit Auction
Food for Learning will be hosting the 2nd Annual Student Benefit Auction in April. This event will raise funds to support student nutrition programs throughout Hastings and Prince Edward counties. Every day in our region, thousands of students depend on the breakfast, lunch and/or snack programs at their school for the nourishment they need to sustain them throughout the day.

Time: 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
Location: St. Theresa Catholic Secondary School

This exciting event is truly a ‘students helping students’ event. Culinary students from Prince Edward Collegiate Institute and St. Theresa Catholic Secondary School will be catering the event and preparing gourmet hors d’oeuvres for guests to enjoy. As well, students from both Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board and Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board will be providing entertainment throughout the evening.
Many valuable and unique items will be available for auction. As well, a very special raffle will be happening again this year. Tickets will be sold on a bouquet of red roses, however, mixed in with the real flowers will be ten $50 bills made into roses and added to the bouquet – the winner will get $500!
All proceeds from this event will be used to support our nutrition programs – purchasing groceries, supplies and equipment needed to ensure that all students are attending school well fed and ready to learn.
