Home-School Connections: ideas to enhance student learning at home, December 2014

Each month, school newsletters include a one-page insert called Home-School Connections. It describes ways in which families can enhance student learning at home in the areas of literacy; numeracy; healthy, caring schools and improving student learning.

This month’s Home-School Connections (pdf file) features:

  • Literacy & Literacy: using arts and crafts to develop skills.
  • Healthy, caring schools: “Say One Nice Thing” to promote well-being for all!
  • Improving student learning: “Feed the Meter” by putting loose change into parking meters in local downtown areas to contribute to nutrition programs for Food for Learning.
