Parents/guardians are invited to participate in a provincial forum hosted by the EQAO School Support and Outreach Team. EQAO is the provincial Education Quality and Accountability Office which administers provincial assessments for literacy, numeracy and math to students in Grades 3, 6, 9 and 10.
This forum is composed of two sessions. During the first, the Outreach Team will describe EQAO’s province-wide assessment program. Then, author and renowned educator from Queen’s University, Dr. Lynda Colgan, will talk about the importance of mathematics and how parents can encourage their children to see the value of mathematics in everyday life.

• First session: 9:45 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
• Lunch: 11:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
• Second session: 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Refreshments: Breakfast and lunch will be provided
Mileage: Carpooling is encouraged. Mileage will be paid according to Government of Ontario rate guidelines
